Alice Rutkowski

Alice RutkowskiAlice is CEO of Brilliant Communication LLC with 30 years experience in the corporate world and consulting practices. She is known for her unique approach to communication and presentation skills customized for each person or team. This approach is holistic, often including aspects of a person’s history and lived experiences, habits, emotional range and beliefs. With awareness of these underpinnings, communication skills are not merely “tips and tricks” but are authentic and long lasting.

Rutkowski has coached thousands of executives across the globe, from junior managers to C suite executives, sales professionals, marketing and media, entertainment, and customer service agents. She has coached people for TED talks (Mark Bezos: A Life Lesson from A Volunteer Firefighter), authors for book tours, and presenters at the United Nations. Her international experience includes Communication development in England, Canada, South and Central America, Singapore, much of Europe, and New Zealand.

Alice credits three mentors who significantly impacted her life and coaching. The first is an educational mentor Dr. Yvonne Kaye who taught her that life is not black and white but has many grays in between. Also, that humor is an amazing healer and can get you through the tight spots.

Sandy Linver, founder of Speakeasy Inc, was her most recent mentor. Alice was hired by Sandy who saw her background in movement/expressive arts and group leadership as a plus for the company. She mentored her into taking these skills and applying them to a business setting. It’s here she worked with thousands of executives including working with the camera, in workshops, conferences, and one-on-one coaching.

Alice’s most influential teacher was the late movement and dance pioneer Anna Halprin. Anna founded the Tamalpa Institute in California, recognized internationally for its unique approach to movement, expressive arts therapy and education. This revolutionary process was grounded in individual and group process, learning, and creativity. Actual life experiences became the ultimate source for expression, and provided a palette for her own self awareness and development. These learnings were later translated into her work with and for others. Currently Alice is an adjunct faculty member, as well as a member of the Tamalpa Board.

A published author, she wrote about her travel experiences in Exit 8A: Tales of a New York Commuter.

She has appeared in TV spots, radio interviews, podcasts and has been featured in newspaper articles. Alice is a highly sought-after presenter and often requested at keynotes and plenary events. Known for her warmth and humor, she reveals just how much she loves people!

"I've had the joy of working with Alice for five years. Her special mix of EQ and IQ provides people with the confidence to exceed their own expectations."
